 | G.C. Hutson - Chief Executive & Senior Partner Raised in the hills of East Tennessee, Mr. Hutson "cut his teeth" in the intellectual property arenas of both Nashville and Washington, DC.
Mr. Hutson started his first company, Cloverlick Associated, at the age of 19. The company was named after a mountain in West Virginia, which was very special to Mr. Hutson during his teenage years, and remains such to this day.
CA's core area of expertise was technology-based litigation research, long before search engine companies like Google ever existed. In 2000, following the tragic loss of his first wife Vikki to a car accident near Jackson, Tennessee, Mr. Hutson relocated and reorganized Cloverlick Associated, and diversified the company into three divisions of service offerings; technology auditing, software development and technology support. Upon the split, Mr. Hutson transformed CA into Cloverlick Interactive.
Cloverlick Interactive (CI), based out of Bethesda, Maryland quickly grew and took on various, high-profile projects and clientele. The successful operation thrived in the DC area for 8 years. During his time in Bethesda, Mr. Hutson met and fell in love with his current wife, Sadie.
In March of 2008, Cloverlick Interactive's quiXsupport Support Division was purchased by Geeks On Call Holdings (GOCH), a publicly traded organization based in Norfolk, Virginia. Immediately following the sale, Cloverlick Interactive was officially reformed as Sadien Intellectual Property, Inc., and relocated to their new corporate offices in Nashville, Tennessee. Sadien was named after his wife, Sadie.
Mr. Hutson holds a B.S. degree in Recording Industry Management and Mass Communications from Middle Tennessee State University, and a Juris Doctorate from the Madison University School of Law.
G.C. currently lives in Tennessee with his wife and children. | | | | Robin Gordon - Chief Counsel & Senior Partner An Arkansas native, Robin J. Gordon brings over 18 years of intellectual property and entertainment litigation experience to Sadien.
In addition to his executive role within the company, Mr. Gordon is the senior partner with the Gordon Law Group, PLC. A graduate from the University Of Tennessee School Of Law in 1990, Mr. Gordon entered into the private practice of law as an associate with one of the most well-known litigation and entertainment firms in Nashville, Tennessee. Taking the opportunity to learn from the best, he represented artists such as George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Ronnie Milsap and Lee Greenwood. In the mid-nineties, Mr. Gordon left his previous association to assume the leadership role of the Gordon Law Group, PLC -- a new firm concentrating in the entertainment and litigation areas of practice. Mr. Gordon has established a unique formula for representing individual and business clients in contract negotiations, litigation matters and general business matters based on a solid foundation of legal and practical business experience.
Through his private practice, Mr. Gordon has represented a variety of publishing companies, recording labels and other related business entities in addition to having the opportunity to work with several of the music industry's most influential songwriters, musicians and artists who have collectively sold hundreds of millions of records.
In the very little free time that he enjoys, he travels and spends time seeking out new musical talent to nurture and develop.

(Channel) Proactive internal software auditing is critical to protecting your organization's exposure to liability and litigation. The financial and operational consequences of not auditing and maintaining your company's software licensing can be catastrophic. It can literally destroy your company or organization.
Relying on the "assumption" that you are compliant, will get you sued. Without conducting regular, certified internal audits, your company is likely non-compliant, and facing thousands, if not millions of dollars in liability.
The Business Software Alliance (www.bsa.org) offers a $1,000,000 reward to disgruntled/terminated employees who report ex-employers.
Erroneous "assumptions" that organizations commonly make, are as follows:
"Spreadsheets with license keys are considered licenses." Wrong. "Assuming that your organization is compliant because you have never knowingly pirated software." Wrong. "Assuming that a SAM application will keep you compliant.” Wrong. “Assuming that employees are properly filing paperwork and licenses.” Wrong.
In short, if your organization cannot effectively respond to an adversarial third-party inquiry within 48 hours; which includes precise inventories, an effective response letter, detailed software load locations, user access tables and cross-referenced licensing documents... you are probably NOT compliant.
The only way to know that you are compliant, is to conduct certified, internal audits on a regular basis.

(Channel) Accidental piracy is the erroneous concept that not knowing about piracy in your organization is a defense when audited by the Business Software Alliance, or some other adversarial third-party.
In virtually all software piracy actions, any possibility of an “innocent infringement” defense and the notion of “accidental piracy” are completely undermined with both the posted copyright notices on the software and “key codes” required to install the software.
The financial and operational consequences of not auditing and maintaining your company's software licensing can be catastrophic. It can literally destroy your business.
